CORRUPTION ERADICATION

Corruption has been happening frequently in Indonesia. It has materialized in many variety of forms, including embezzlement, bribery, gratification, and et cetera. I have decided to choose this topic because as an Indonesian citizen, I really wants to contribute to our beloved country so that the problem of can be finally eradicated.

Do you know what is meant by corruption? It is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person, often to acquire personal benefits. The doer of this violence is called corruptor.

In general, there are many scales of corruption. Ranging from corruption that occurs at the implementation of public services, where the officials meet the public until corruption that take a place at the highest level of government.

Corruption has grown systemically. This is totally embarassing. Indonesia has declared as constitutional country, everything is supposed to be based on law. It means the number of crimes in this country is supposed to be low.

Corruption is so bad and also contagious. We really need to work hard so that it can be stopped. Some people say that corruption is just like a habbit that eventually has become to culture which is come from bad mentality and I think this is true. It is one of the reasons why the corruptors do this violence. They feel alright to do it because many other people are doing it too. It is also because of bad mentality and uncontrolable desire.

Corruption is so dangerous. It can cause high gap between the rich people and the poor ones. Moreover, this problem can destruct every single important aspect of a country including politics, economy, social aspect, and culture. However, the reality shows that corruption is happening in many walks of life and done by different people from various economy background.

Therefore, regarding this problem, the government, the law makers, and the people should work together ti enforce the law in order to eradicate corruption in this country. We can start from ourselves by doing small things to improve our mentality and mindset. For example, we can do anything honestly, keep our faith, differentiate between right and wrong things, and not to take anything that doesn't belongs to us.

Besides that, according to me, the brand building of anti corruption should start from school. Every student should make anti corruption slogan, for example "Say no to corruption and save our country" at least once a day so that it can get recorded in their brain. So, when they see a corrupt person, they will think that is not good and will not follow that bad behaviour.

In addition, we should support KPK or Corruption Eradication Comission to work hard and take all actions to eradicate corruption. We should be aware and not just stay quiet to solve this problem. We should not just close our eyes, our ears, and don't care about it so that all our efforts won't be in vain to make Indonesian people prosperous and peaceful.

Once again, "Say no to corruption and save our country!"
